It wants to be a movie about the intersection between criminality and the class system but, for that, it could have used a bit more class.. Marsan does countless riffs on a menacing glare, and Arterton is always a treat to look at.. This taut crime drama is thrillingly old-fashioned in the best sense.. It's just a cheap thriller.. A jolting little thriller, as sharp and nasty as a switchblade.. All the considerable effort that went into making this film cannot finally offset its aura of pointles...
